Black Widow

Black Widow formed in the late 1960s, originally starting as Kippe and the Cavemen in 1966 before settling on their permanent name in 1969. The band was led by vocalist Kippe Lennon and included guitarist Geoff Griffith, bassist Bob Bond, and drummer John Grey.

Their debut album 'Black Widow' came out in 1970, featuring the track 'Fire In Your Eyes' that became one of their most recognizable songs. They followed with albums like 'Sacrifice' in 1971, 'Heavy Petting' in 1972, and 'Black Widow III' in 1973.

Their live shows were known for being theatrical, with pyrotechnics and costumes that matched the dramatic feel of songs like 'Come To the Sabbat' and 'Conjuration.' The band's lyrics and stage presence sometimes drew criticism, which became part of their reputation during their active years.
