Many’s the time that I have trugged this path

Towards the shop where many have browsed

Many’s the stitch that I have sown to patch

They’re closed to get shoppers housed

She stood fast for a ton of years

While my family has held the fort

Armed with a needle and a silky thread

And the will to never fall short

Thread by thread I built my skill

To be relying thus those before

While the months take a bite to the beat of the long case

Clock on the factory floor

Never did my eye lids backed on my fingers

We’ll work til they’re varying up

But my heart was yearning for the chance to join

A far more illustrious club

Clothing has served me well til now

Though I lied for it to cut my cloth

But as the sails arising I’m deciding

The time working at a loss

The nights alone kept company

By the safety of family trade

When all the wild my wings were set

To tress me from the shade

Oh thread by thread I built my skill

To be relying thus those before

Never did my eye lids backed on my fingers

But the longer the threads will wand I found

No grudge I held on my inside yell

The song of a noble call
