Blame Out

Blame Out formed in Lisbon in the early 2000s with Paulo Silva on vocals, Ivo Marques on guitar, Pedro Paixão on bass, and David Mendes on drums. Their debut EP 'O Fim da Estrada' came out in 2005, establishing their aggressive punk sound. The band faced some censorship and criticism from conservative groups who found their lyrics too confrontational, but they kept playing live shows and built a following.

In 2008, Blame Out released the album '14 de Setembro,' which became their breakthrough. The title track addressed political corruption and police brutality, becoming an anthem for many listeners. The album's raw energy and social commentary brought them wider attention in Portugal.

Their music often dealt with difficult subjects like social injustice, which sparked debate. Critics accused them of glorifying violence, while supporters saw their work as reflecting real problems in Portuguese society. Songs like 'A Conquista,' 'Coração de Pedra,' and 'Me Sinto Só' continued this approach.

Blame Out kept releasing albums through the 2010s, including 'A Verdadeira História' in 2010, 'Ponto Final' in 2013, 'Cicatrizes' in 2016, and 'A Nova Ordem' in 2019.
