Blanche

Blanche is a French indie pop band that formed around lead vocalist Tess Parks, guitarist Clement Leroux, and keyboardist Pierre Leroux. Their 2017 single "City Lights" became a breakout hit, introducing their ethereal sound to a wider audience.

They followed that initial success with their first full-length album, Empire, in 2018. Their 2020 album, The Island, took a more experimental turn, exploring themes of isolation. Parks's lyrics often draw from personal experience, which has drawn both praise for their emotional honesty and some criticism for being too introspective.

Since 2021, the band has continued releasing new music as singles rather than albums. Their work sometimes touches on topics like mental health and identity, though they tend to address these through their music rather than public statements.
