Their debut album "Nocturnal Visions" came out in 2003, featuring the track "Assassin" that became something of an anthem for their listeners.
Their lyrics often dealt with themes of violence and nihilism, which drew criticism from some quarters. The band went through several lineup changes and periods of hiatus, but kept recording. They put out albums like "Shadows of the Abyss" in 2006 and "The Crimson Reign" in 2009, followed by "Echoes of the Damned" in 2012 and "Rise of the Night" in 2015.
