Blind Date formed in London in 1984 with John Warburton on vocals, Derek Burke on guitar, John Turnbull on bass, and George Chandler on drums. They put out their debut single "Your Heart Keeps Burning" in 1986, which did well enough to land in the top 10 in a few countries.
Their first album came out in 1987, also called Blind Date, and it included that single along with another track, "I Want to Be with You." They followed it with Soul and Fire in 1989 and A Heartbeat Away in 1991.
