Archive material and source history
Blind Sanity was a death metal band active in the mid-to-late 1990s. They released three studio albums: 'Blind Sanity' in 1994, 'Aftermath' in 1996, and 'End of Days' in 1998. Their track 'They Died' became particularly well-known in underground circles.
Their 1996 album 'Aftermath' drew attention for its graphic cover art, which showed a man impaling himself. The band's lyrics often dealt with dark themes like suicide and mutilation.
The core lineup included Thomas Westphal on vocals, Stefan Hüskens and Andreas Koster on guitars, and Dirk Verbeuren on drums. Verbeuren would later play with Soilwork and Megadeth. Blind Sanity disbanded in 1998 after their final album release.
