Background notes

Archive material and source history

Blind Truth was a rock quartet from Liverpool that formed in 1967. The band included vocalist and guitarist Paul Renwick, bassist Mick Hope, drummer Dave Price, and keyboardist Ian Roberts, who went by Taffy. They drew from blues and psychedelic influences, playing with a heavy, raw sound that didn't quite fit the mainstream of the time.

In 1970, they released their debut album 'I Want Her,' which featured the title track of the same name. They followed it with another album, 'Truth Denied,' in 1972.

Renwick's gritty vocals and confrontational style were central to the group's identity, but details about their later years or any lasting impact are sparse. The available history mostly covers their early recordings and the notoriety around 'I Want Her.'
