A Copenhagen collaborative project known for textured, haunting electronic pop since the late 1990s.
For a quick sense of their vibe, try "Eyes On Fire" or "Save This Town." Both have that textured, electronic feel they've stuck with.
Blue Foundation's 2001 debut album included "Eyes On Fire," a track that became an electro-pop staple for its moody electronics. Their sound has stayed in that atmospheric, dreamy lane over the years, as you can hear on songs like "Bonfires" and "Watch You Sleeping." Even their 2019 album "Silence of the Sea" keeps that layered, ethereal approach.
The project started in Copenhagen in the late 1990s between Tobias Wilner and Thomas Lund. They've worked with a shifting group of collaborators like vocalist Kirstine Stubbe Teglbjærg, putting out albums such as "Sweep" in 2004 and "Life of a Ghost" in 2007.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
