Blue Man Group

Blue Man Group started as three street performers in New York City in the late 1980s. Chris Wink, Phil Stanton, and Matt Goldman wore blue coveralls and played music on found objects like PVC pipes and fiberglass tubes. Their unusual approach caught attention, and they eventually collaborated with artists including David Bowie and Laurie Anderson.

Their shows combine music with visual spectacle. The sound mixes rock, electronica, and tribal rhythms, heard in songs like 'I Feel Love' and 'Baba O' Riley'. On stage, projections, lasers, and pyrotechnics create an immersive backdrop for the performers' silent, blue-painted presence.

Over time, Blue Man Group expanded from street performances to permanent shows in cities across the U.S., Europe, and Asia. They've also appeared on television programs and special events. While some critics have questioned their artistic merit, their blend of rhythm and visuals has maintained a distinct place in live entertainment.
