Bo Napoleon formed in the early 2000s after the breakup of a punk band. Their debut album 'Bleed, Sweat, and Cry' came out in 2004, featuring the single 'If That's Ok' which got them some national attention. The lineup originally included Bo Napoleon on vocals, Jake Carter on guitar, Tom Howard on bass, and Steve Jenkins on drums.
Their music drew criticism at times, particularly around 2006 when the song 'God is Dead' caused some backlash and led to canceled shows. The band kept playing through it, maintaining their confrontational style.
Members changed over time. Carter left in 2008, replaced by Dave Williams. Howard and Jenkins departed in 2012, with Alex Medina and Chris Jackson taking over on bass and drums. They released another track called 'Nice To See U Trying' at some point.
