His voice had a soulful quality that worked on ballads like 'Misdirected Love' and 'Where Is The Love.' He played with musicians like guitarist Mark Jones and bassist Frank Harris. A compilation called 'The Best of Bobby Leal' came out in 1995.
Leal returned to recording with 'Back to Basics' in 2002. He kept performing for people who liked his music.
