Boka de Véa formed in Salvador, Brazil in 2010 as a trio with Rodrigo Pitta, Fábio Sampaio, and André Junio. They started playing in local bars and venues around the city. In 2014, their single "Agora Me Esqueça" became a hit across Brazil, changing things for the band.
Fábio Sampaio left the group in 2017, leaving Pitta and Junio to continue as a duo. They kept working together and began experimenting with different sounds. Other songs like "Clima Envolvente" and "Tá Frio Sem Você" also found their audience.
In 2018, there were some plagiarism accusations about "Agora Me Esqueça," but those were eventually dismissed. The band has released several studio albums since their start.
