Bornes formed in France during the late 1990s, with Jérôme Tcherniak on vocals and guitar. Their first album, "Côte Blanche," came out in 1999. They followed it with "Intensément Noir" in 2002.
The band's 2005 album "Amante" gave them their biggest moment. The title track "Amante" got regular play on French radio. Another song from their catalog, "Banho e Tosa," also appears among their most recognized work.
After a hiatus that started around 2008, Bornes returned in 2016 with a fourth album called "L'Imprécis." The group's lineup has included Christophe Bervas on guitar, Gaël Churin on bass, and Julien Bathelemy on drums.
