Boss was a punk band that formed in Los Angeles in the mid-1970s. Their debut album in 1978 was called 'I Don't Give a Fuck,' and the title track became something of an anthem for them. They played in clubs and built a following with a raw, aggressive sound.
They put out more records through the 1980s, including 'Fuck You' in 1982, 'No Rules' in 1984, and 'Chaos Theory' in 1987. Their songs had titles like 'Alpha, Kilo, Tango,Echo...' and 'Comme Des Fous,' and they kept a confrontational style that didn't sit well with everyone. The music was straightforward punk, loud and unapologetic.
Boss never really crossed over to mainstream acceptance, but they stuck to what they did. Their shows were known for being intense, and they maintained a certain notoriety within the punk scene. They were one of those bands that seemed to thrive on being outsiders.
