Brad Sucks formed in 1997 with Jake Chaffee on vocals, Matt Freedman on guitar, Scott Shriner on bass, and Lee Meadows on drums. Their debut album 'Punk Rock Sucks' came out the following year, featuring the single 'Making Me Nervous' that got some alternative radio play.
Shriner left the band in 2001 and was replaced by Chris Prescott. They put out a few more albums like 'The Kids Are Alright' in 2004 and 'The World Is a Vampire' in 2007. Other songs in their catalog include 'Understood by your Dad' and 'Borderline'.
Their live shows were known for being loud and confrontational, which earned them a cult following and some criticism. Chaffee's outspoken views on various topics kept them in conversations beyond just the music.
