Brainpool

Brainpool was a German electronic trio from Cologne that started in the late 1990s. Their debut single "(Let's Get) Lucky In Kentucky" came out in 2000 and became a hit, with its trance elements and bassline getting attention. They followed it with other tracks like "Rise" and "Beats Control."

They worked across trance, house, and techno, sometimes with a pop touch. Songs like "A Postcard from Juan" and "Holidays" show that range. The group included Sven Väth, Matthias Tanzmann, and Jan Wunsch.

In the early 2000s, they had a legal issue over a sample in one of their songs, which brought up questions about copyright in dance music. They kept releasing music through the decade, with albums like "Delirious" and "Seasons In Trance."
