Braking formed in São Paulo in the early 2000s, a Brazilian pop-rock band that found quick recognition with their 2005 self-titled debut album. The track "Coisas do Amor" from that record became a national hit, its melody catching on with listeners across the country. The original lineup included Felipe Andreoli on lead vocals and guitar, Fábio Almeida on drums, Bruno Gouveia on bass and vocals, and Pedrão on guitar.
In 2010, Andreoli left the band to pursue solo work, which shifted the group's direction. They brought in Gouveia to handle lead vocals and continued recording, putting out albums like "Cidade do Pecado" in 2012 and "Na Estrada" in 2015. Later records included "Em Busca da Luz" and "Além do Mar." Another of their well-known songs is "Meu Pedaço de Ceu."
