Brand New Sin was a rock band that formed in London in the late 1980s. The group included Billy Idol on vocals, Steve Stevens on guitar, Tony James on bass, and Brian Tichy on drums. They released their debut album 'Out of the Darkness' in 1988.
Their song 'Sad Wings' appeared on that first album and became their most recognizable track. The band followed up with a self-titled album in 1990, then put out 'Serpentine Gallery' in 1993 and 'Ultimate Sin' in 1995. Other songs in their catalog include 'Another Reason,' 'Arrived,' 'Black and Blue,' and 'Breaking Bottles.'
Idol's personal struggles with addiction were part of the band's story, and their live shows sometimes had technical problems. They kept recording through the mid-1990s before eventually winding down.
