Brie King is a singer-songwriter from Asheville, North Carolina. She grew up around folk, blues, and jazz, and started writing songs early, with Joni Mitchell and Bob Dylan among her influences.
In 2019, she released her debut EP 'The Dream and the Dawn.' The track 'April 5 (Wish It Worked Like That)' from that EP connected with listeners, becoming her most recognized song. She followed with a single called 'Hold Me Closer' in 2020 and an album titled 'When the Lights Go Down' in 2021.
She performs live with a backing band that includes guitarist Ethan Myers, bassist Jesse Johnson, and drummer Brian Earl.
