Brigite Bardott is a Brazilian indie rock band that formed in 2004 when vocalist Mariana Aydar teamed up with guitarist and songwriter Fabio Sampaio. Their debut album 'Cartas e Poemas' came out in 2007, with the title track becoming something of an anthem for listeners drawn to its particular mood.
After Sampaio left in 2011, Aydar and bassist Felipe Roseno continued as a duo. The band went quiet for a stretch, and Aydar released a solo album called 'Cavalo Marinho' in 2018. They eventually got back together in 2019.
Their catalog includes five studio albums, from that first record in 2007 through to 2018. The current lineup features Aydar on vocals, Roseno on bass, Esdras Nogueira on drums, and Rafael Castro on guitars.
