Brisa Star

Brisa Star formed in 2015 in Fortaleza, Brazil, with Brisa Lira on vocals, Tico Melo on guitar, Rick Lira on bass, and Yani Almeida on drums. They started playing a mix of forró, pop, and reggae, though early on they had limited resources and faced a competitive local scene.

In 2019, their single "Cena de Amor" with Zé Vaqueiro became a hit, getting millions of streams and bringing them national attention. That track, along with others like "Se Joga No Passinho" and "Prometi," showed their blend of energetic forró and pop ballads. Their debut album came out in 2020, followed by live recordings and more releases.

Brisa Lira's vocal style and stage presence remained central to the band's sound. Some critics questioned her approach, but the group kept working with their mix of styles, collaborating with artists like Thiago Jhonathan and Priscila Senna on songs such as "Sonho de Amor."
