Bruno Neher was born Bruno de Carvalho Neher in 1982 and grew up in Minas Gerais, Brazil. His early musical world included traditional sertaneja, Brazilian Popular Music, and the songwriting of Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen.
His debut album 'Burro Apaixonado' came out in 2002, with the title track becoming a hit. Other songs from that period include 'Coisas Que Vi' and 'Sofrendo Por Amor'. He released several more albums through the 2000s, like 'Por Dentro' in 2004 and 'De Fé' in 2006.
In 2004, Neher faced accusations of plagiarism over a song called 'Você Quer Brincar de Amor'. He continued recording after that, putting out albums including 'Estrela D'Alva' in 2008 and 'Amor e Vida' in 2010.
