Bucie, born Busisiwe Nqwiliso, started singing in choirs and working as a backup vocalist before releasing her first album 'Not So Different' in 2007. Her 2011 album 'Lady of Soul' included the song 'Easy To Love' with producer Heavy K, which became one of her most recognizable tracks.
In 2009 she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and had surgery, then later spoke about it publicly. Around 2015 she had a legal dispute with her former record label over contract terms and ownership of her music.
Her albums include 'Love and Gravity' from 2015 and 'Rebirth' from 2018. Another song people know is 'All Of Me'.
