Buckingham Nicks

Buckingham Nicks was the duo of Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks, who released one self-titled album in 1973 before joining Fleetwood Mac the following year. That album included songs like 'Frozen Love' and 'Crying In The Night,' which showed their early sound of layered guitars and harmonies. The record didn't sell particularly well at the time, but it established the musical partnership that would become central to Fleetwood Mac's later success.

When Mick Fleetwood heard the Buckingham Nicks album, he invited both musicians to join his band in 1974. They brought songs like 'Crystal' with them, which would later appear on Fleetwood Mac's 1975 self-titled album. The transition wasn't seamless, their arrival changed the group's dynamic alongside existing members John and Christine McVie.

Though Buckingham Nicks existed briefly as a standalone act, their 1973 album gained more attention in retrospect. Tracks like 'Don't Let Me Down Again' and 'Angel' showed the early chemistry between Buckingham's intricate guitar work and Nicks' distinctive vocals. That foundation carried directly into their work with Fleetwood Mac, where they became two of rock's most recognizable voices.
