Walking On Water

Any time I shut my eyes

I've done so much since still the memory shines

I can feel the cold still on my eyes

A path where there rightly should be clear water

Hard solid ground on which I stand

I touched it there with my bare hands

I'm walking on water and no one bats an eye

I feel so alone, yet I feel warm

Despite the cold deep set in my bones

I feel that day embraced inside

I feel so alive right here right now

If I fell through nobody would know

But I must stay here to maintain this flow

Of all the things I'm letting go

With my face to the sky I close my eyes

The dead wood breaks free and crashes down through the ice

I ran away I had no choice
