A band from Bridgend that built a sound on heavy riffs and personal lyrics.
For a sense of their style, 'Tears Don't Fall' and 'Waking The Demon' still show up in their sets. They frame that mix of melody and aggression pretty well.
They came out of Wales in the early 2000s with a debut album, 'The Poison,' that had songs like 'Tears Don't Fall' and 'Hand Of Blood.' Those tracks set a template, chugging guitars, vocals that go from singing to screaming, and lyrics about relationships and struggle. It's a sound they've stuck with across six albums, from 'Scream Aim Fire' to 'Gravity,' keeping a steady presence in metal.
They formed in Bridgend in 1998, signed with Sony BMG in 2004, and released 'The Poison' the next year. Drummer Jason James left in 2008, replaced by Michael 'Moose' Thomas, but their core sound hasn't shifted much since.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
