T-Bone Burnett

T-Bone Burnett started as a guitarist and songwriter in St. Louis, drawing from blues and folk traditions. He left home at 17 and eventually surfaced in Los Angeles in the early 1980s, where he worked with Elvis Costello on 'King of America' and produced for artists like The BoDeans and Roy Orbison.

His own solo work includes the 1989 album 'An Acquired Past,' which features the title track and songs like 'Seven Times Hotter Than Fire' and 'Criminals.' The record reflects his introspective writing and soulful vocal delivery, without much commercial fanfare.

Burnett has kept a hand in various projects over time, collaborating with figures such as Bob Dylan and Alison Krauss. He's also voiced criticism of music industry practices, though he's been involved with streaming platforms like Spotify. His recent albums include 'The True False Identity' from 2014.
