The London band behind 'Glycerine' kept making atmospheric rock long after the '90s.
If you only know 'Glycerine,' check out 'Reasons' or 'This Cloud' from their later stuff. It's the same voice and guitars, just a bit further down the road.
That debut album Sixteen Stone landed in 1994 with 'Glycerine,' a song that still gets played. Their sound had this moody, atmospheric quality that fit right into that alternative rock period. They've kept at it since reuniting in 2010, and Rossdale's voice over those textured guitars is still the main thing you recognize.
They formed in London in the early '90s and put out Razorblade Suitcase in 1996, then The Science of Things in 1999. After a hiatus, they came back with Sea of Memories in 2011 and have kept recording since, just without the same commercial spotlight.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
