Butterfly Boucher

Butterfly Boucher grew up in Nashville, Tennessee, born in 1979. Her self-titled debut album came out in 2003, and the song "Changes" from that record got some attention. She's put out a handful of albums since, including C'est la Mort in 2007, Scary Fragile in 2010, and Smother in 2019.

Her songs often deal with personal themes. Tracks like "Life Is Short" and "A Bitter Song" have a straightforward, acoustic feel. In 2007, she talked publicly about dealing with depression, which brought some of those internal struggles into her music more directly.
