BYU Vocal Point is an a cappella group from Brigham Young University that formed in 1991. They started with students who wanted to sing together, and Mack Wilberg was involved early on as a conductor. Their first album came out in 1996, called 'Beyond Words.'
They sing both sacred and secular music, often in arrangements that highlight their vocal harmonies. Songs like 'Nearer, My God, To Thee,' 'It Is Well With My Soul,' and 'Danny Boy' show their range from hymns to traditional tunes.
