C. V. Jørgensen was born Christian Vinding Jørgensen in 1950. He started playing music in the late 1960s with bands like Tømrerclaus and Matador, but his breakthrough came with the 1973 album 'En Lille Natturmusik.' That record established him as a songwriter who could reach a national audience in Denmark.
His songs often dealt with love, loss, and searching for meaning, delivered with a raw emotional intensity. Tracks like 'Amor & Den Sidste Pil' and 'Det Si'r Sig Selv' show his way with poetic imagery and direct feeling. He worked with musicians including Knud Odde on guitar and vocals, Nikolaj Nørlund on bass, and Henrik From on drums.
Jørgensen released more than two dozen studio albums over the decades, from 'Er Der No'n Derude?' in 1975 to 'Himmelflugt' in 2009. He died in 2019. His music drew inspiration from figures like Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen, and it found its own place in Danish rock.
