Their 2006 debut album included the track 'Swing What You Got,' which caught on with its groove and Starlight's vocals.
After that first album, they put out 'Time Bomb' in 2008 and 'Electro Swing Revolution' in 2011. The lineup shifted over time, with Lady Starlight staying constant. Other members included Bryan Mantia on drums, Arthur Ahbez on keyboards, and Dan the Automator handling instruments and sound design.
Starlight's stage presence drew some criticism, and there were questions about how authentic their swing influences were. They worked with artists like DJ Shadow and Diplo along the way.
