Cabeça D'água

Cabeça D'água formed in the late 1990s around singer and songwriter Alberto Continentino. Their self-titled debut album arrived in 2001, introducing a sound that mixed traditional samba rhythms with electronic and psychedelic touches. This approach drew some skepticism at first, but they kept at it, releasing Segundo in 2004 and Veneno in 2011.

Their songs often carried a poetic, introspective quality. Tracks like "O Assoalho," "Andarilho," and their namesake "Cabeça D'água" became signatures.

In 2018, they released Histórias Reais, a collaboration with writer Itamar Vieira Junior that explored themes of identity and memory. The band's core lineup included Continentino on vocals and guitar, Fernando Catatau on guitar, Marcelo Costa on drums, Rodrigo Tavares on bass, and Domênico Lancellotti on keyboards.
