Cabin Crew formed in London around 2004, with Alex Kapranos on vocals and guitar, Nick McCarthy on bass, Paul Thomson on drums, and Malcolm Wright on keyboards. Their debut album 'Stories From the City, Stories From the Sea' came out in 2007 and included the track 'A Case For Life.'

Wright left the band in 2011. They kept recording after that, putting out albums like 'I Am Not a Doctor,' 'Four Phantoms,' 'In Colour,' and 'Who Killed the Moonlight?' Their songs include 'Always and Forever,' 'As One We Stand,' and 'Braille.'

Kapranos has been open about political views, which has drawn some criticism. The band's work has been described as alternative rock with some post-punk and electronic touches.
