Cabine Dupla formed in Rio de Janeiro around 2000 with Allan Netto on vocals, Pedro Sá on guitar, Bruno Marques on bass, and Marco Abreu on drums. Their debut single "Dê Um Dê" came out in 2006 and caught on nationally, leading to their first album in 2008.
Bruno Marques left the band in 2009, and they brought in Henrique Babo on bass the following year. They put out three more albums after that: Vem pra Cá in 2010, Aqui e Agora in 2013, and Mais Forte in 2016.
In 2012, Cabine Dupla objected when their song "Dê Um Dê" was used in a political campaign without their permission. The current lineup still has Netto, Sá, Abreu, and Babo.
