Cacu

Cacu was a band that formed in London in the late 1960s, centered around vocalist Ray Nayler and songwriter Pete Brown. Their debut album 'Self-Portrait' came out in 1969, followed by records like 'More Songs for the Mad' and 'The Great Unwashed.' The lineup sometimes included drummer Dave Ferguson and bassist Graham Bell.

They're best known for the song 'Maybe I'm Amazed,' which Pete Brown wrote and the band recorded for their second album. Paul McCartney later covered it, and that version became widely familiar. Their catalog also includes tracks like 'About A Girl,' 'Blew,' and 'Blues del Campo.'

Critics at the time occasionally called their work obscure or too intellectual, but they kept making music on their own terms. There's not much clear information about why they stopped or what happened to them afterward.
