Cage

Cage formed in the early 1990s with vocalist Sean Peck, guitarist Matt Johnson, and bassist Anthony Valcic coming together in Ohio. Their debut album 'Movies for the Blind' arrived in 1994, introducing a sound that mixed aggressive guitar work with melodic choruses. They followed with albums like 'Hell...' in 1997, 'Astrology' in 2001, and 'Supersonic Supernova' in 2004.

Their music often stirred debate, with some listeners finding their lyrics confrontational. Peck addressed this directly regarding their song 'Am The King', explaining it as satirical rather than an endorsement of violence. Other tracks like 'Souls And Flesh' and 'Across The Sea Of Madness' showed their range across heavy rock and alternative styles.

The trio of Peck, Johnson, and Valcic remained the consistent core through their recordings. Their work drew attention for its raw energy and willingness to blend different musical approaches without settling into a single genre.
