Caillon formed in São Paulo in 2002 with Luciano Caires on vocals and guitar, André Müller on bass, and Felipe Andreotti on drums. They started playing rock with punk and alternative leanings.
Their debut album 'Papel de Trouxa' came out in 2003, and the title track caught on quickly. The song's lyrics about resisting conformity connected with younger listeners in Brazil.
After that first album, they put out two more studio records: 'Inconsequente' in 2006 and 'Tudo o Que Você Não Quis Saber' in 2009. The band toured regularly during those years, and their live shows developed a reputation for being energetic.
At some point, drummer Felipe Andreotti left and was replaced by Vinicius Heringer. The group's sound shifted a bit as they tried out different musical approaches.
