Caio Cesar is a Brazilian singer-songwriter from Rio de Janeiro, born in 1977. He grew up with music around him, his father liked rock, his mother preferred classical, and that mix shows up in what he does. His first album came out in 2004, called 'Melhores Momentos,' and the title track got some attention as a ballad about looking back.
After that, he put out a few more records: 'Na Estrada' in 2006, 'Por Dentro' in 2008, and 'O Tempo' in 2013. He's worked with other Brazilian artists like Milton Nascimento, Ana Carolina, and Lulu Santos along the way. There was some noise around 2010 when he got involved in a protest, but he kept writing songs that touched on what he saw happening around him.
He usually plays with a band that includes Fernando Nunes on bass and Marcos Nogueira on drums. The music doesn't stick to one style, it's got pieces of folk, pop, and MPB in it, but it's mostly just Caio Cesar singing straightforward songs about memories and everyday things.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
