Caixa Master formed in Salvador, Brazil around 2010. The band's early sound mixed Afro-Brazilian rhythms with pop, and their song "Dezenove" became widely known. Their lineup included Davi Moraes on vocals and guitar, along with Dudu Borges, Jhonny Montana, and Nilo Andrade.
They released albums like "Dezenove" in 2011, "Nação Caixa" in 2013, and "Nosso Credo" in 2015. Other songs in their catalog include "Tempo Ao Vento" and "Todas As Luzes." In 2012, there were some plagiarism accusations regarding "Dezenove," though the band maintained their innocence.
Later albums included "Evolução" in 2017 and "Origens" in 2019. Their music often drew from samba, axé, and pagode rhythms while touching on themes of love and social issues.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
