A São Paulo trio blending alternative rock and Brazilian rhythms since 2008.
For a good sense of their sound, try 'Meu Tempero' or 'A Saga Do Arrependimento'. They frame what the band does well.
Cajuhina's songs like 'Meu Tempero' and 'Azul' mix alternative rock with Brazilian rhythms in a way that feels grounded. They've built a catalog that leans into emotional themes without overdoing it, which gives their music a steady, lived-in quality. Their 2012 debut 'O Céu Sobre a Cidade' and 2014's 'Azul da Cor do Mar' show a band finding its voice in small venues and sticking with it.
They formed in São Paulo in 2008 with Felipe Zanca on vocals and guitar, Guilherme Moraes on bass, and Rodrigo Ramos on drums. After their first album in 2012, Bruno Esteves replaced Moraes on bass, and they put out a second record in 2014. Their lineup shift didn't change their focus on blending rock with local rhythms.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
