Calavera formed in São Paulo around 2006, a Brazilian rock band that built a following with a raw, energetic sound. Their big break came with the single "A mulher que todo homem quer (Garota tentação)," which became a major hit across Brazil and Latin America.
Their self-titled debut album arrived in 2009, featuring that hit alongside tracks like "Sete Vidas" and "Assim Como Você." They followed it with albums like "Rock 'n' Roll" in 2011 and a live record from São Paulo in 2013. Other songs in their catalog include "Mega-sena Acumulada," "Sexta-Feira," and "A Verdade Não Doi."
The core lineup included vocalist Leo Curi, guitarist Cássio Fernandes, bassist Rodrigo Lima, and drummer David "Diba" Medina. While their commercial momentum eventually slowed, that initial burst with "A mulher que todo homem quer" left a clear mark on the Brazilian rock scene of the late 2000s.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
