Calebe Cymbalist formed in Brasília in 2016 with Calebe Fonseca on vocals and guitar, Rafael Luna on bass, and Rafael Almeida on drums. They put out their first album, Supernova, the following year. The title track got some attention and helped them find an audience.
Their second album, Se Me Ver Na Rua, came out in 2020. It included the songs Caso Sério and Com Você, and the music shifted a bit from their earlier pop-rock sound toward something more reflective. In 2018, the band apologized after facing criticism over lyrics some listeners found offensive.
They haven't released much since 2020, but songs like Se Me Ver Na Rua still get played.
