A Vancouver band that made one EP before going on hiatus.
If you're going to listen to one thing, make it 'Greyhound'. For the full picture, the 'Scout' EP holds up.
For a band that only released one EP, Calpurnia left a surprisingly complete little document. 'Greyhound' became their calling card online, and songs like 'Waves' and 'Wasting Time' showed a band with a clear, jangly indie rock sound that felt fully formed right out of the gate. They're a snapshot of a specific time, 2017-2019, when a group of young musicians briefly aligned.
They formed in Vancouver in 2017 and released the 'Scout' EP the next year. By 2019, they were on hiatus as Finn Wolfhard's acting career took over, and the members moved on to other projects.
