Calyx & TeeBee are a drum and bass duo from Bristol. Marcus Visionary and James Ruskin started working together in 1997, putting out early tracks like 'Quake' and 'No Escape' that got noticed in the scene.
Their 2003 album 'The Golden Hour' became a touchstone for atmospheric drum and bass. The single 'Long Gone' from that record turned into a genre anthem. Ruskin left in 2007 to work on solo material, leaving Visionary to continue under the Calyx & TeeBee name.
They've kept releasing music since then, including albums like 'Remember the Future' in 2009 and 'The Sound of Now' in 2018. Their sound has always leaned toward the melodic and atmospheric side of drum and bass, even when that meant taking some criticism for being too experimental.
