They worked from a shared interest in acoustic and Brazilian folk music, writing songs that felt personal and reflective. Their debut album 'Um Abraço Guardado' came out in 2009, anchored by the title track "Abraço Guardado," which connected with listeners through its gentle melody and Mendonça's vocal delivery.
A few years later they put out a second album called 'Só Se For de Coração' in 2012. Other songs like "Brasilidades" and "Memória Pexêra" show the band's feel for melodic, unhurried arrangements. In 2014 they dealt with a legal dispute over song rights that led to Thiago "Pinguim" leaving the group for a time.
