A São Paulo quartet blending jazz, samba, and electronic textures across four albums since 2015.
For a good sense of their sound, try 'House Of The Holy Sins' or the title track 'By Surprise'. Both have that mix of samba rhythm and electric guitar.
They're one of those bands that makes Brazilian styles feel current without losing the warmth. 'Lighthouse' has that bossa nova sway but with a rock band's drive behind it. Their 2023 album 'Ressonância' shows they're still finding new ways to mix those elements.
They started with the debut 'By Surprise' in 2015, then put out 'Maré' in 2017 and 'Deserto' in 2020. The lineup has stayed Thiago Amud on vocals and guitar, Lucas Arruda on bass, João Fomm on drums, and Frederico Heliodoro on keyboards.
