Their music pulled from Andean and Caribbean traditions, though some early listeners found it too modern for their tastes.
They released their first album in 1986, which included the song 'Alarma.' That track became one of their most recognizable, though it was later at the center of plagiarism accusations that were eventually dismissed. Other songs like 'La Medicina' and 'Paren El Mundo' also became part of their catalog.
Over the next decade they put out several more records, including 'Bienvenidos' in 1987, 'Fronteras' in 1989, and 'De Corazón' in 1991. Their last album listed here is 'El Sonido' from 1995.
