Canary Club formed in 2017, a Japanese pop group led by vocalist Aina Suzuki. Their debut album 'Canary Yellow' came out in 2018 and included the song 'Pika Pika!', which became their breakout hit.
That track 'Pika Pika!' and others like 'Daisukki!' and 'Faith!' show their style, energetic pop with some rock and electronic touches. In 2021 they released a second album called 'Electric Blue'.
In 2020 there were some plagiarism allegations about one of their melodies. The band acknowledged the similarities and said they'd be more careful going forward.
